Winter Olympics Report 4: When People Say No

The Winter Olympics have begun with protests across Milan.

On Thursday Greenpeace unveiled a sculpture of the Olympic rings drenched in oil, symbolising the Games’ partnership with mega polluter ENI.

In his latest daily report Matt Rendell covers protests against fossil fuel sponsors of the games as well several student-led demonstrations set against the backdrop of the first days of competition.

Matt will be reporting on the Games, the environment and the movement to kick fossil fuel advertising and sponsorship out of sport.
